Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) in a nutshell?
WAP is a government-subsidized program that offers grants/services to improve energy efficiency and decrease energy expenses.
Which services are included?
Services may include insulation of roofs and pipes, replacements of boilers and appliances, weather-stripping and caulking of windows and doors, and much more. For a complete list, see the Our Services page.
Who does the work?
We are the subgrantee and we oversee the subcontractors work. All materials and work are of the highest standards.
Does the value of the building increase after weatherization?
Absolutely. Insulation, windows, utilities and appliances are of higher quality post-weatherization, thus resulting in decreased bills, and ultimately, a higher property value.
Is it difficult to apply for the grant?
The process is actually quite simple. See our Application Process page for exact details and forms.
Is there a fee for the tenant?
All services are provided at no fee to occupants of the building.
